Around

- The flat is located on the ground floor of a small old 3-storey building, in a street leading directly onto the seafront.
- The first beaches are just a few minutes' walk away, as are all the amenities (the building's street opens onto the Boulevard du Port de Plaisance on one side and the shopping street on the other). So you can enjoy a car-free stay, as everything is within walking distance!
- Our flat is also an excellent starting point for a walking tour of the Calanques (a map is available in our City Guide). In just 20 minutes, you'll be on the doorstep of the Parc National des Calanques, the Calanques de Mugel and Figuerolles...
- Ile Verte, part of the Calanques National Park, lies opposite the town of La Ciotat. A boat leaving from the port of La Ciotat will take you to the shore to discover this wooded island. A 2km signposted path takes you around the island. Along the way, you can stop to admire the scenery, including the Seynerolles cove, Plageolle and Fort Saint Pierre, a vestige of the old fortifications. From the island, there is a breathtaking view of the port and the Bec de l'Aigle, ideal for photographers.
- The Parc du Mugel, which is within walking distance, is listed as a remarkable garden. It covers almost 17 hectares. It is home to a bamboo grove, cacti, aromatic plants, chestnut trees and tropical plants. These different plant species thrive in a microclimate. The park also has two pebble beaches. A walk through the park offers a breathtaking view of Ile Verte and Anse du Sec, particularly from the belvedere, 82 metres above the sea. The town has undertaken major improvements to make the site more pleasant, including picnic areas and children's play areas.
- The Eden-Théâtre was built in 1889. It is the oldest cinema in the world still in operation. It was at the Eden-Théâtre that the first Lumière films were shown, some of which were shot in La Ciotat. It was renovated in 2013 as part of Marseille Provence, European Capital of Culture. Today, the building is a genuine heritage treasure and a distinguished cinema with an innovative programme.
- Marseille is 30 minutes away by car and Aix-en-Provence 45 minutes.
