Private room house 150m2
Description
Welcome to this spacious and unique accommodation based on the (pedestrian) island of la dérivation. Parking is available at the foot of the footbridge. It's a 10-minute walk to the accommodation. Derivation Island is a haven of peace and quiet where nature is preserved. You will fall asleep to the song of the frogs and when you wake up the melody of the birds will accompany your stay.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Please note (there is a slight leak in the roof. When it rains, there are a few drops but nothing too serious, hence the low price).
150m2 house with two terraces (front and back), small garden, living room with fireplace, 2 sofas, dining table, rustic kitchen. All this in a charming and friendly old-style atmosphere that would perhaps benefit from a total refurbishment. But it would lose its character. The rear garden and terrace overlook the water with direct access to the banks of the Seine. The house is located on a pedestrian island, accessible via a footbridge, the house is 10 minutes' walk from the footbridge.
This is an atypical, poetic and bucolic setting.
Access to the island via the footbridge.
Access to communal areas (everything except the other bedrooms and the garage workshop).
The house is a 10-minute walk / 2 minutes by bike (or any other fashionable electric vehicle) from the car parks and footbridge.
Pedestrian island not accessible by car only by foot bike motorbike scooter etc..
Quiet house on the banks of the Seine

Getting to the island by public transport:
Buses 10 and 11 pass 1min from the footbridge at the bus stop "la fourche".
Poissy RER A station is 5 minutes away by bus.
Access to the island: the footbridge is the only access to the island.
Ile de la dérivation was built based on the 1920 flood. It was already under Napoleon III when the island was created. At the base a part of the continent which was dissociated from the continent in order to make a channel. All the land was filled in on the island, raising it up. The island was then built with lock-keepers' and fishermen's huts to give it what it is today.
At the far end of the island, not far from the house, is a garden/vegetable garden/collaborative orchard where there is a volleyball court, and behind it an undergrowth, just like the beginning of the island before the footbridge.
The island itself is inhabited by foxes (you won't see any as they are very discreet and nocturnal) but if you're lucky you'll see swans or a Heron. Carp dive out of the water, ducks more likely. You'll fall asleep to the sound of frogs.
