Around
The 1st arrondissement is the city's hypercentre, and the beating heart of the Phocaean city. It is home to many historic buildings, trendy restaurants and shopping streets.
In the immediate vicinity of the flat are three of the city's liveliest thoroughfares (all pedestrianised), the mythical Cannebiere, rue Saint Ferreol and rue Paradis. All are lined with shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, museums, theatres and more. There's no shortage of things to do!
The nearby Cours Julien will transport you to the heart of Marseille's festive atmosphere.
And of course there's the old port, with its warm, lively atmosphere! You'll find plenty of typical restaurants here, as well as access to the frioul islands, les Goudes and the port of l'Estaque!
You can also walk to the beach in around twenty minutes via the old port.
All the metro and tram lines cross here, making all parts of the city accessible. St Charles station is less than 10 minutes' walk away.
